DINNER AND PROGRAM COMMEMORATE CIVIL WAR ANNIVERSARY

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the U.S. Civil War, the Historical Society will host a spaghetti dinner provided by the Italian Kitchen. Following the dinner, Diana Dretske from the Lake County Discovery Museum will examine the war as revealed in letters written during those years.

Display your antique or classic car at the Historical Society’s Annual Fall Festival.  Cars from the 1970s and earlier are welcome. Please note that this is a showcase for vehicles, not a competition. For more information on the car show email scramer724@yahoo.com.

 

DEERFIELD HISTORICAL SOCIETY'S 36th ANNUAL FALL FESTIVAL
Sunday, September 25th
Noon to 4pm

Our family friendly, free event features childrens’ activities, food, demonstrations, antique cars, a book sale and fun for the entire family. Children can try their hand at vintage activities and visit a one-room schoolhouse. Tour five buildings of historic interest including the Caspar Ott log house, built in 1837; Lake County’s oldest surviving building.
